Chamblee Mayor Eric Clarkson was recently named to represent DeKalb County cities on the Atlanta Regional Commission.
Clarkson, who has been mayor since 2005, will serve on the planning group’s transportation and air quality committee, which works with the state Department of Transportation, MARTA and other agencies on policy and projects.
The ARC serves as the regional planning body for the 10 counties in metro Atlanta and handles grant funding for regional projects.
